It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the record chasers, are the only things left for a side that has won it all.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batters to maintain a record if never given the possibility.

Ultimately, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to produce her newest gem.

Originally famous as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her nation couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her bow and seven global championships have followed from 10 tries across formats.

She was troubled by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off the bowler's initial ball and from there the batsman was underway.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this victory coming after victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have postponed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is likely to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as skipper.
