Area Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.
Officers state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.
The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then discovered many other vandalized vehicles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.
Police say preliminary tests suggest the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to its origin; investigators are currently not cognizant of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they stated.
City officials announced they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the residents for tips.
An important official stated the vandalism made him stunned and had to be resolved rapidly.
"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on online, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a gunman aiming at people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
